IoT Penetration Testing
A short reference for how this course works, day to day — the mechanics, not the marketing.
How the course is structured
The curriculum is organized into modules, each broken into individual lessons. Lesson types you'll see: written lessons (theory and walkthroughs), hands-on labs (a scoped objective with a step-by-step guide), and knowledge-check quizzes at the end of major modules. There's no fixed schedule — the course is self-paced, and your access doesn't expire once you're enrolled.
Tracking your progress
Every lesson has a "Mark as complete" action, and your overall course progress is shown as a percentage at the top of every lesson page. You can leave private notes on any lesson (visible only to you), bookmark lessons to come back to later, and ask questions or report an issue directly from the lesson sidebar — those go to the course instructor, not into a support queue.
Hands-on labs: read this before you run anything
Every lab lesson states its objectives, scope, and rules of engagement up front — read all three before you touch a command. The techniques taught in this course are real, effective, and illegal to use against any system or network you don't own or don't have explicit written authorization to test. Practice exclusively against equipment and lab environments you control. Neither PentestNotes nor the course instructor is responsible for how you choose to use what you learn here — that responsibility is entirely yours.
Certificates
Completing every lesson in the course issues a verifiable certificate of completion, tied to a unique serial number anyone can independently check at a public verification URL. From the certificate page you can download it as a PDF or add it directly to your LinkedIn profile.
Getting help
For questions about a specific lesson, use that lesson's comment thread or the "Report a problem" button — the fastest way to reach the instructor directly. For account, billing, or access questions, contact PentestNotes.
